wpml - internal server error 500

Hi,

I've installed the latest WPML but I'm getting a 500 error after activating it. I've been in touch with the WPML team and amongst other things they suggested trying to activate the plugin after having another theme (2014) active. This worked. Apparently there is some kind of incompatibility with your theme. Is this a known error and if so, what is the solution?
