How do I add Work/Portfolio posts to Home/Front page?

Hello.

I'm having trouble getting the content in my portfolio to show up on my home page. I have a "test" post in my Work section but it's not showing up on the homepage. Do I have to use the WP Bakery plugin in order to have a grid of content appear on the homepage? Or is there some setting/feature that I'm overlooking?
