Blog
Blog posts can be managed under the Posts section in your dashboard.
Creating a Blog Page
To display your blog posts, you need a posts listing page. If you haven’t created a blog posts listing page yet, follow these steps:
Go to Pages in your WordPress dashboard.
Click Add New to create a new page.
Select Blog Template as the page template.
Publish the page, and it will serve as your blog posts listing page.
Featured Image / Video
You have two options for the featured content on your blog posts: Thumbnail and Video.
- Thumbnail: The default option, which also allows you to upload an optional hover image. If a hover image is uploaded, it will appear when the user hovers over the featured image.
- Video: You can choose to feature a video instead of a static image.
Note: The Animated GIF option has been removed since it’s no longer necessary with the latest updates, which use original images.
Post Settings
When editing a post, you’ll see the Post Settings tab in the Page Settings panel. These settings allow you to override the global single post settings configured at Northeme > Theme Options > Blog.
You can hide the title, categories, and tags for individual posts. You can also change the layout view options for a specific post, though layout options may not be available for all themes.
Blog View Options
Blog view options can be managed at Northeme > Theme Options > Blog. Here, you can customize the posts listing page settings, including:
- Post limit
- Grid layout
- Pagination type
- Related posts settings
- Single post settings
