Creating a Page
Pages can be created and managed under the Pages menu in your WordPress dashboard. This section is one of the primary tools for building your website content.
Page Builder Plugins
You can build pages using the default WordPress Editor, which supports block-based page creation. However, for greater flexibility and ease of use, we recommend the Elementor plugin.
Elementor is free, and your theme comes with exclusive widgets to enhance your page-building experience. You can find these theme-specific widgets under the Northeme category while using the Elementor editor. Additionally, there are numerous free Elementor extensions available to further extend its functionality.
Page Templates
To create a new page, click Add New in the Pages section. Some themes may offer exclusive page templates in addition to the default options:
- Default Page: A versatile, full-width page template suitable for most use cases.
- Blog Template: Displays a list of all blog posts. Use this template to create a blog page.
- Works Template: Similar to the Blog template, but for creating a portfolio post listing page.
Page Attributes
While editing a page, you’ll find the following options under Page Attributes:
- Enable Sidebar: Activates the sidebar for Default or Blog pages. Sidebar widgets can be managed under Appearance > Widgets.
- Display Title: By default, page titles are hidden. Use this option to display the page title in the header.
Excerpt
The Page Excerpt field can be used to display content in the page header. If the excerpt field isn’t visible, enable it by clicking the Screen Options button in the top-right corner of the editor and selecting the Excerpt option.
We recommend using a rich-text excerpt plugin like Rich Text Excerpts.
Custom CSS
The Custom CSS field allows you to add CSS rules that will be applied specifically to the page you’re editing. This is useful for fine-tuning individual page designs.
