Building a One-Page Portfolio

Step 1: Visit Northeme Menu

From your dashboard, upload a logo, set up a footer text, and select a Google Font. Ensure the Google Font name is entered exactly as it appears on Google Fonts (e.g., Open Sans).

Step 2: Create a New Page

Go to Pages and create a new page. Activate the Enable Single Page option (below Page Attributes).

Step 3: Setup Page Cover and Contact Info

Once the Enable Single Page option is activated, the Page Cover / Hero and Single Page Settings panels will appear.

Set up the Page Cover title and background image, and optionally enter your contact information and text in the Single Page Settings panel.

Step 4: Set as Homepage

To set this page as your homepage, go to Settings > Reading and select this page under Front Page. Leave the Posts Page option unselected.

Step 5: Create Your Posts

Under Posts, create your posts. For image posts, upload an image in the Set a Featured Image panel. If you choose the Video post format, the Video panel will appear where you can add a YouTube or Vimeo URL or embed code.

Step 6: Activate Lightbox and Slider

To use a lightbox and slider as in the theme live demo, activate the following plugins:

• Meta Slider (for sliders)
• Meta Slider Lightbox (lightbox for sliders)
• Responsive Lightbox (lightbox for sliders + single images)

Step 7: Use a Navigation Menu

To add a navigation menu, go to Appearance > Menus and create a new menu. Opt for Northeme Main Menu at theme locations to activate it.
